Built before the Civil War the "Union House" has greeted guests for well over a century. Serving fine food and beverage, the hotel has had many colorful owners. The building once housed the local barbershop as well as the town's first telephone exchange. During Prohibition it operated as an ice cream parlor. The hotel has become a popular destination since it began hosting the annual Finnegan's Wake in the early 1970's
